I'm an External Communications Advisor at Te Pūtea Matua – Reserve Bank of New Zealand, which is New Zealand’s central bank. RBNZ enables economic wellbeing and prosperity for all New Zealanders.

Our team is basically RBNZ's in-house public relations agency. Most of my work revolves around media engagement, writing media releases, and organising briefings, events, media interviews and press conferences. My main mahi is helping publicly communicate the Bank’s Climate Change, Te Ao Māori, and the South Pacific strategies to Aotearoa New Zealand.

Before joining RBNZ, I worked in similar Comms roles at the New Zealand Racing Board and FMG. Prior to that, I was studying a Bachelor of Communications at Massey University, while working at RACE Incorporated as a Communications Intern and as a Māori Mentor for the Massey University Māori Mentoring programme.

My job allows me to be both creative and innovative. I take projects and initiatives going on at RBNZ and turn them into tangible, approachable and interesting information that can be understood and received by all walks of life. Whether we host a conference, launch a campaign, publish a report or organise interviews with reporters, the options for communicating are endless.
